With what remains of the crumbling Colonial Architecture of Havana, BLOCKS decided to head down to this vibrant city steeped in great history with a set of vintage postcards to see for our selves the state of the city.
As declared by UNESCO, Old Havana is a world heritage site. Since then many schools and City programs have developed courses and apprenticeship programs to restore these beautiful and significant buildings.
Although this seems to take place where most of the tourists sits are and Central Havana has yet to see the progress in restoration. Many people continue to get injured and sometimes die due to crumbling buildings.
We left Havana reassured that thousands of buildings have been saved and many more to come. Making the locals proud of their great historic city.
